POSITION: Kitchen Supervisor (Night)
OVERVIEW OF POSITION
Oversee and manage the tasks of chefs and staff. Decide on the presentation of food and design attractive food displays. Make certain to serve the food with the right portion, arrangement, and decoration. Keep track of the amount of food that is cooked. Notify Food & Beverage service personnel about menu specials and items that are currently out of stock. Make unique dishes or alternative products. Help chefs and kitchen personnel with different duties. Supply chefs with required materials. Keep track of inventory for kitchen items and food. Keep kitchen records for food safety initiatives and food items. Verify the quality of food products and inform the manager if any item falls short of specifications.
Support management with recruiting, training, planning schedules, assessing performance, advising, disciplining, inspiring, and mentoring staff. Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety and security; notify the manager of maintenance requirements, accidents, injuries, and hazardous work conditions; finish safety training and obtain certifications. Maintain a tidy and professional personal appearance; uphold confidentiality of sensitive information; safeguard company resources. Attend to the service requirements of guests.
Communicate with others in a clear and professional manner. Foster and sustain constructive working relationships with colleagues; assist the team in achieving shared objectives; pay attention to and address the issues raised by fellow employees. Guarantee compliance with quality expectations and benchmarks. Remain standing, seated, or strolling for a long duration. Extend above your head and below your knees, which involves bending, twisting, pulling, and crouching. Transport, raise, hold, shove, tug, and set down items that weigh 25 pounds or less unaided. Carry out additional reasonable tasks as instructed by Supervisors.
DESIRED QUALIFICATION
- Education: Degree from a Technical, Trade, or Vocational School.
- Relevant Work Experience: 4 to 6 years of pertinent work experience.
- Management Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Certification or License: None
