POSITION: Technical Spares Parts Manager
Context/Scope:
GGBPLC runs two locations in five drink categories: stout, lager, RTD, non-alcoholic malt, and mainstream spirits, as well as spirit distribution.

As the Supply function, we will produce quality items in a safe environment at competitive prices, on schedule, and without faults.
Purpose of the role:
Manage the Engineering Stores to keep supply levels consistent and to provide information to local engineers for inventory control.
Manage the Workshop to ensure enough support for the Site’s activities.
Top Accountabilities:
Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety Standards. Frequently say and articulate that safety is our top priority. Be visible as a safety ambassador by always behaving safely and constantly questioning others’ unsafe practices and behaviour, reprimanding where warranted. Follow the site’s safety guidelines, as well as the operational protocols for systems and equipment.
- Ensure that fuel reserves are managed to sustain production.
- Creates a list of outmoded stocks and ensures they are written off.
- Work with the relevant Area Engineers to ensure that the necessary and optimal spares are kept in stock.
- Ensure that all stocks in the stores are stored safely and under the desired conditions.
- Ensure that all stock items are properly identified in SAP.
- Preparing goods receive notes from suppliers once they are satisfied that the items are of the correct quality and quantity.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate Mechanical Engineer or equivalent
- HND in mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar profession.
- It is necessary to have prior experience with a computerized maintenance management system.
- Administrative/budget management capabilities.
- Store management capabilities.
- Computer literacy
- Resource Management Skills
- People management and motivating skills
- Networking, influencing, and communication skills
Barriers to Success in Role:
- Inability to communicate and form positive relationships.
- A lack of grasp of the commercial and demand agenda within the company.
- Unable to display important leadership qualities.
