Position: TELECOM POWER ENGINEER
Job Description
Locations: Eastern, Volta, Central, and Northern regions.
JOB PURPOSE
The successful applicant will be in charge of maintaining the operational effectiveness of power vendors through effective supervision, auditing, and the implementation of preventative and corrective actions on power infrastructure.
The position reports to the Regional Telecom Manager.
Role-Specific Requirements
- Responsible for delivering the relevant Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators according to the zone’s service schedules.
- Directly responsible for auditing the work performed by Power Vendors and pushing for continuous improvement.
- Assists partners in completing needed project tasks within the zone’s estimated cost limitations.
- Assists in leading and driving continuous improvement initiatives and related actions, with accountability for delivering the cost-benefit within the zone.
- Assists in managing the zone’s retained operations delivery team, ensuring overall health and safety compliance.
- Assists in managing the power requirements and demands of retained exchanges inside the zone.
- Actively supports conformity with the Organization’s codes of practice.
- Any undertaking.
Required Skill or Experience
- Degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- 4–6 years of experience in the telecom/power business.
- Detailed knowledge of telecommunications services, operational key performance indicators, and processes, as well as an awareness of how these relate to client experiences.
- Knowledge of engineering and quality standards, as well as advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analytics.
- Must be able to analyze, diagnose, and solve problems.
- Must have an auditor’s eye.
- Excellent stakeholder management, as well as strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Experience in a multicultural work setting.
