POSITION: Sales Excellence Manager
Job Purpose:
The Sales Excellence Manager aims to enhance sales performance, efficiency, and effectiveness throughout the sales organization by creating and implementing advanced sales strategies, improving capabilities and processes, and utilizing data-driven insights to boost overall sales productivity. Managing a team of Sales Capability Managers, this position will promote the use of best practices, guarantee superior in-market execution, and achieve continuous sales growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- Sales Enablement and Training: Lead efforts to improve the skills of the sales team, promoting a culture of ongoing enhancement and high standards.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate across different functions and areas to promote behavioral change using efficient tools and procedures, boosting team competitiveness.
- Strategic Execution: Collaborate with Sales Team Leadership to launch and integrate new initiatives aimed at enhancing functional and leadership skills.
- Performance Management and Analytics: Monitor essential sales performance metrics and deliver data-informed insights and suggestions to sales leadership.
- Change Management and Ongoing Enhancement: Spearhead efforts to cultivate a high-performance sales environment, keep abreast of industry developments, and foster a culture of learning and creativity.
Other Responsibilities
- Sales Excellence: spearhead the rollout of the GBFoods Way of Selling (GBWS) in Ghana, focusing on building a premier sales team by improving coaching skills and creating organized, consistent practices.
- Training Coordination: Arrange and execute routine training sessions to promote ongoing skill improvement and knowledge growth.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Integrate and maintain GBWS Standards of Sales Excellence by providing thorough coaching on organized calls, effective selling methods, and product knowledge during trade collaborations.
- Execution Excellence: Advocate for the Gbfoods RED (Right Execution Daily) program, guaranteeing its effective implementation, integration, and maintenance to enhance retail execution—utilizing UVE (and other relevant tools). Additionally, execute tactical Customer & Trade strategies nationwide.
- Performance Management (Sales Team Accreditation): Supervise trade performance processes and evaluations throughout the sales team, including RSM, ASM, TSM, SCO, VSP, MDM, and MDE, to guarantee uniform performance and compliance with standards.
- Training Calendar Administration: Create and disseminate a quarterly training schedule at least one month before the commencement of each quarter, ensuring effective communication and comprehension of all cycle plans through the dramatization of activities during cycle briefings and regional meetings.

Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or a similar area
- Having an MBA is an advantage.
Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in sales management positions in the FMCG sector or a similar field.
- Demonstrated success in enhancing sales performance, executing in the market, and developing team capabilities.
- Vast experience overseeing customer relationships and channel strategies at a high level.
- Demonstrated hisa tory of delivering outcomes.
- Development and execution of a sales effectiveness strategy.
Skills:
- Expertise in business insight, client management, sales techniques, and negotiation abilities.
- Skill in recognizing and promoting sales catalysts and IMEX.
- Proven capacity to guide and motivate teams, emphasizing skill enhancement and future leadership preparation.
