POSITION: Transmission Support Engineer
We are now looking for a Transmission Engineer to provide technical service and support to our customers. In this role, you will diagnose and handle issues to stabilize and optimize client networks. You will set up and integrate various nodes and solutions in new and live customer networks.
The Support Engineer typically works with client technical professionals, operation managers, service engineers, and other groups in the Service Delivery organization. You may also interact with groups from sales, R&D, third-party suppliers, and local governments.
Because there are no clear limits between the areas, you will need to be adaptable and master multiple skills. You are encouraged to travel globally and work in diverse cultural settings. Technical growth is quick, and it is your responsibility to maintain your knowledge and abilities up to date.
Working as a support engineer will require a thorough understanding of telecom and datacom, including hardware, software, and network knowledge. You will work, interact, and communicate in an international setting, with both internal colleagues and Ericsson’s clients and suppliers. The function frequently needs you to take on significant responsibilities, and you must be able to work independently.
What will you do?
- Customer Issue Handling
- Handling dedicated support.
- Software Update Management (SUM) handling
- Remote Service Gateway (RSG) mentorship
You will bring.
- Requirements: – Minimum of a graduate degree in engineering or computer science. – 4 to 8 years of expertise providing customer service and solutions in a telecom setting.
- Domain-experience: Transmission Network having the necessary and confirmed experience in Microwave and Fiber.
- Good knowledge of Router 6000 and Mini link families (66XX, TN, CN, PT) is a prerequisite.

- Utilizing experience and technology.

- The Assure services will include the following activities:
- Maintenance Routine execution.
- Fault handling.
- Software updates are currently loading.
- Final report for on-the-job mentoring (skills transfer).
