Job Description.
This position will be employed on a 12-month fixed-term contract with the option to extend.
The Role
Last Mile Health (LMH) is obsessed with amazing results. Can you create important subcontract management documents, and coordinate performance reviews, compliance, and risk management in French and English? You might be our next Africa Frontline First Initiative Contract Management Coordinator.
The Africa Frontline First (AFF) Initiative aims to help 10 Sub-Saharan African states establish robust, country-led community health care delivery with 200,000 CHWs by 2030. Each country’s local context and health reform journey will guide these community health service delivery changes, which will reduce COVID-19, malaria, tuberculosis, and HIV morbidity and mortality, maternal and child mortality, health security, and community economic recovery after the pandemic. Thus, community health investments are crucial to achieving the health SDGs of eradicating AIDS, TB, and malaria, boosting UHC, and preparing for and responding to COVID-19 and future pandemics.
President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf leads the Financing Alliance for Health, Last Mile Health, and Community Health Impact Coalition’s AFF initiative.
Last Mile Health will create community health systems in multiple countries using subcontractors and technical assistance as part of the AFF Initiative. The project will benefit from this role. This position reports to the Director of Contract Management and provides full life cycle (pre- and post-award) subcontract administration support, including due process compliance, data collection and storage, and contract-related information monitoring and reporting.

What will you do?
Provide a whole cycle (pre- and post-award) Subcontract administration assistance
- Support the creation of essential subcontract management documentation for internal and external stakeholders, such as informational briefs, pre-award requirements, application and reporting templates, due diligence checklists, and so on.
- Collect and organize information from many teams and/or subcontracts to help with pertinent decision-making throughout the contract’s life cycle.
- Encourage research/discovery into prime funder laws and regulations.
- Review supplier inputs/redlines in contracting papers and escalate to the Director, Contract Management for resolution.
- Help manage pre- and post-award meetings to support and provide direction on subcontracting needs (internal and external, including with technical/selection committees, prime funders, and subcontractors).
- Coordinate protocols for subcontract performance reviews, compliance/due diligence tasks, and risk management.
Information Management and Exchange
- Maintain the subcontract filing and knowledge management systems.
- Maintain deadline tracking and communication mechanisms for critical subcontract milestones (reporting, disbursements, due diligence checks, etc.).

- Ability to create clear and persuasive written pieces in both French and English.

Compensation for this role:
The band for this position is GHA-2.
For Ghana, the range is $16,004 – $27,643, depending on experience in an equivalent capacity. Please be aware that this compensation is subject to statutory taxes.
