KOSMOS INNOVATION CENTER CALLS FOR APPLICATION
Applications are now open for the KIC AgriTech Challenge Pro.
The KIC AgriTech Challenge Pro is a 5-month acceleration program aimed at equipping existing early-stage teams or AgriTech startups with the right tools, funding, and support to bring their business ideas or products to market and prepare them to scale.
About Kosmos Innovation Center Ghana
The Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC) is investing in the future by supporting innovators in turning today’s problems into tomorrow’s opportunities. We are on a mission to scale innovations that apply commercial solutions to key development challenges in Africa, starting with agriculture.
We have successfully invested in hundreds of young entrepreneurs and small businesses who have big ideas and want to see their country grow. We achieve this through tailored coaching, skills building, expert mentorship, seed funding, and facilitating connections within and across industries.
Purpose Of KIC AgriTech Challenge Pro
The Pro program was developed to create opportunities for teams that are already formed and looking to take their business to the next stage. KIC AgriTech Challenge Pro takes an inclusive approach, offering its services to all agricultural business teams in accordance with KIC’s goal of developing talent and advancing innovation in Ghana.
It is targeted at startups or teams that have developed minimum viable products (MVPs) and are older than 4 months, with a minimum of 2 co-founders.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have an existing team of
- 2-4 co-founders
- The team should not be older than 2 years (date of business registration)
- Also, all founders should be between 18 and 35 years
- Again, all founders must be residents of Ghana
- Besides that, all founders must have completed tertiary education or be tertiary students
- Additionally, all founders must be available & committed for the full duration of the KIC Program
- The business idea must address a problem in the agricultural value chain
- All female-led teams are highly encouraged to apply

CLOSING DATE OF APPLICATION
The deadline for submission of the application is October 14, 2022.
