POSITION: Accounts & Administrative Officer
Job Description
- Manage the company’s full financial and accounting operations.
- Implement adequate internal controls for inflows, expenditures, and bank deposits.
- Lead the development and monitoring of annual budget and cash flow predictions.
- Process accepted claims by issuing payment vouchers and making cheque/electronic payments.
- Maintain correct accounting records and enter transactions into the accounting software.
- Manage petty cash, accounts receivable, and payable.
- Manage the company’s supplies, inventories, and assets.
- Prepare a monthly bank reconciliation statement.
- Manage the company’s payroll.
- Prepare financial statements and associated documentation for use in management decision-making.
- Prepare a draft annual statutory account for external auditors.
- Liaise with necessary external agencies and organisations, such as GRA, SSNIT, and banks, to complete bank reconciliation and submit statutory returns.
- Should assist in the accomplishment of essential administrative responsibilities for the organisation.
- Perform other tasks as directed by management.
Required Skill or Experience
- Accounting education requires at least a B.Sc. or HND.
- Experience: 2–3 years of experience in a similar position is necessary.
- Experience with Tally or QuickBooks.
