POSITION: Loan Officer
Company Overview
Universal Microfinance Company Limited is a completely owned Ghanaian limited liability firm established under the companies code 1963 (Act 179) and authorized by the Bank of Ghana to offer microfinance services.
Position Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and meticulous Loan Officer to become part of our team. The perfect candidate will handle creating sales leads, evaluating client credit risk, promoting loan products, and overseeing client relationships. The position also includes making sure that loan repayments are made on time and assisting with general financial activities.
Duties
- Create sales opportunities from potential loan applicants.
- Assessment of client credit risk.
- Loan products available in the market
- Management of client relationships
- Make sure clients pay back loans as planned.
- Collecting data on clients
- Conducting risk assessment through specialized software and creating statistical models
- Evaluating, examining, and understanding intricate financial data, and providing suggestions based on this
- Establishing and nurturing client connections
- Developing and presenting presentations
- Generating reports utilizing textual and numerical data
- Utilizing credit-assessment frameworks for minor loan amounts (like small unsecured personal loans)
- Staying informed about important matters (such as legal, market risk, and compliance concerns)
- Assisting in improving the standard of credit applications.
Position Overview
- At least a qualification from an accredited higher education institution.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
- Possessing a Driving license provides an additional benefit for driving.
