ROLE: Business Development Executive

Petropipe is a static equipment packaged supplier and manufacturer with several OEMs and partners wanting to expand their supply chain in Ghana. We are looking for a qualified and experienced Business Development Engineer who specializes in Pumps, Filtration Process Technologies, Piping, or Valves to join our dynamic team in the UAE and Mozambique on a hybrid basis.

As a Sr. Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for growing our customer base and generating revenue in local markets. The ideal applicant will have at least 4-5 years of demonstrated experience selling mechanical equipment, as well as a technical background and client accessibility.

Role Description 

This is a contract hybrid position for a Business Development Executive in Accra, Ghana, with some office and remote work flexibility. The Business Development Executive will be in charge of New Business Development, Lead Generation, Account Management, and Communication.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential consumers in Ghana who require our product range for specific applications.
  • Establish and maintain solid relationships with new and existing customers, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Engage in in-depth technical talks with customers to better understand their needs and to recommend appropriate product solutions.
  • Collaborate with our engineering and technical teams to give customers with accurate and extensive product information, answering any technical questions or concerns they may have.
  • Prepare and deliver excellent sales presentations, proposals, and quotations that highlight the value and benefits of our product solutions.
  • Negotiate and finalize sales contracts while increasing income and profitability for the firm.
  • Keep an eye on market trends and competition activity to find growth opportunities and remain ahead of industry advancements.
  • Provide the sales management team with regular reports on sales operations, client feedback, and market insights.
  • Develop and implement targeted sales strategies, promotional programs, and lead-generating activities in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Continuously update and improve product knowledge to keep up with new OEM-related technologies, features, and applications.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in a comparable technical subject is required.
  • Proven track record of 4-5 years of effective regional sales experience, mostly selling pumps, pipes, valves, and related mechanical ancillaries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to successfully communicate technical information and create customer connections.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills are required to achieve profitable sales contracts.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to find creative solutions to consumer difficulties are required.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
  • A local candidate based in Ghana is required.
