NeraSol Ghana Limited was incorporated as a technology company and specializes in tailor made business efficiency software Solutions, AI, IoT and Data Analytics such as Integrated Waste Management Information System, Fintech, Financial Platforms, Process Automation and On-demand Applications.
JOB PURPOSE:
To develop and install business software solutions in line with approved architecture and technical requirements/specifications and best practices to satisfy clients’ business needs and expectations for the realisation of the Company’s objectives & goals.
POSITION: Software Engineer / Developer
REPORTS TO: Software Development Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement approved policies, standards operating procedures (SOPs), work plan and other support systems in managing the Software Development Department to achieve targeted objectives.
- Develop software systems solutions to reflect approved design system specifications/ requirements, standards and programming.
- Write, edit and debug new computer programmes for assigned projects, including the necessary records and desired output.
- Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
- Test new programs to ensure accuracy and correctness in judgment and language rules.
- Undertake prompt upgrades and enhancements of software systems as assigned.
- Prepare and install software solutions for clients in a timely and cost efficient manner.
- Update existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware and/or improve on its performance.
- Liaise with clients/customers about software system maintenance.
- Conduct studies/research to identify new software tools/methodologies, programming techniques and submit findings to Superior Officer for consideration to enhance software development operations.
- Monitor to ensure that the Company is protected against IT intrusion and other attacks e.g. illegal database updates, viruses, etc.
- Stay abreast with new and emerging developments in software technologies to improve on the delivery of products and solutions.
- Update data on software programmes for easy retrieval and accessibility of information.
- Prepare periodic and monthly reports related to job function.
- Perform any other functional related duties assigned by Superior Officer.

JOB SPECIFICATION
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Experience
Three (3) years relevant working experience in a related field.
Knowledge & Skills
- Good knowledge and experience of programming languages (like Java and java frameworks, C++, Python, PHP, etc.) and methodologies to develop business solutions.
- Ability to develop mobile application on varied platforms such as IOS, Android and Windows.
- Good knowledge and experience in developing and troubleshooting complex software systems that run in mixed-environments including Linux, Unix and/or Windows.
- Good knowledge and ability to develop variety of software systems and components such as API and end points, SDK and device programing as well as the ability to develop micro service modules for rapid application development.
- A flare in UI design will be an added advantage.
- Experience in the design and implementation of multiple software components and subsystems.
- Ability to use one or more IDEs (e.g., Eclipse) and interactive debuggers effectively.
- Ability to communicate the design and implementation of software systems including relevant strengths/weaknesses.
- Project management skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good planning and organizing skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills in a “team” setting.
