POSITION: Warehouse Supervisor

FMGL is the main feed supplier to Ghana’s major chicken farms. FMGL, under Seaboard’s supervision, also functions as a trading company, dealing in commodities such as soybean meal and animal feed inputs with local farmers and wholesalers.

New difficulties emerge almost every day, necessitating appropriate technical and economic responses. In such cases, Flour Mills of Ghana shares its knowledge and skills with its network of bakers and clients. The organization stresses customer satisfaction and agri-education by hosting seminars for bakers and poultry producers throughout Ghana.

Flour Mills of Ghana Limited (FMGL) began contributing to its aim in 2012 by producing wheat flour, animal feed, soya, bread, SBM, and other products after becoming an affiliate of Seaboard, which has been providing food to people all around the world since 1918. FMGL plays an important part in Ghana’s food supply chain, contributing to both domestic and international markets.

Principal Responsibility

• Responsible for aiding with a range of warehouse operations, such as shipping and receiving, unloading and loading vehicles, maintaining order, and keeping the warehouse stocked with necessary equipment.
• To oversee the overall operation and ensure that client goods are stored and distributed safely and effectively, on time, and without damage.

Duties

• Supervise the counting, weighing, and identification of materials intended for shipping.
• Check supplies against customer orders and pick lists.
• Periodically check and verify the materials in the warehouse.
• Loading and unloading items from trucks.
• Place the product on pallets for distribution.
• Checking that loads are secure.
• Sort materials by size, kind, style, colour, or product code.
• Ensure FIFO
• Minimize ‘turn-around time’.
• Identify any damage, loss, or surplus of items and commodities housed in the warehouse.
• Maintain records of all warehouse-related operations and processes.

• Requirements include adaptability to changing temperatures and seasons.

Educational Qualification

• BSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a warehouse supervisor or an equivalent function.
