Duties
- Design, install, manage, and monitor solar energy systems.
- Identify possible solar energy applications in buildings and other locations.
- Conduct site surveys and provide advice on solar energy viability.
- Prepare technical drawings and design papers for solar energy installations.
- Ensure that solar energy installations comply with appropriate legislation.
- Offer technical guidance to clients and coworkers.
Qualifications
- A degree in electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Designing solar arrays requires at least three years of experience in the solar PV business.
- Experience and expertise in the design and construction of distributed power, commercial solar PV, and utility-scale solar PV projects.
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and solar modeling software, including Helioscope.
- Experience reading and comprehending technical specs and construction papers.
- Experience with professional oral and written communication abilities.
