POSITION: Finance Manager (CO)

Company Description

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa is the biggest Coca-Cola bottler in Africa, making 40% of all the Coca-Cola sold in the continent. CCBA is the top company in Africa for non-alcoholic drinks that are ready to drink. Also, CCBA operates widely across Africa and has more than 13,000 employees.

Purpose Statement

The Finance Manager (CO) job is in charge of:

  • Create clear, accurate, and on-time financial reports that follow the rules.
  • Provide required reports.
  • Manage the list of accounts, rules, and guidelines for CCBA.
  • The overall management of the group’s financial statement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Create clear, correct, and on-time financial information that follows the rules.
  • Create and put into action important money rules.
  • Take care of the company’s list of accounts.
  • Responsible for managing the process and making sure the changes to the chart of accounts are done correctly.
  • Make sure the Country follows the rules in the Chart of Authority.
  • Take care of the group’s balance sheet (not related to daily operations).
  • Provide required reports to meet legal obligations.
  • Create yearly financial reports and communicate with VGL and the Group Office.
  • Keeping track of money and managing expenses (like billing for costs).
  • Give the FP&A team the reporting needs for the board and required by law.
  • Help finance workers all over the country by providing them with useful training and coaching to build their skills for the future.

Skills, Experience, and Education

  • Deciding and making choices.
  • Work together on important rules.
  • Analysis of profits and losses, finances, and improving cash flow.
  • Suggestions for better rules and processes.
  • Organizes the business planning for VGL according to the CCBA process and instructions.
  • Make sure that the finance rules, steps, methods, and systems in the country work well.

Skills and Experience

  • Having a CA, CIMA, MBA, or other related qualifications is a plus.
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in finance.
  • Experience handling policies and the list of accounts.
  • Experience with SAP FI (or something like it)
  • Good understanding of legal rules.
