Galiano Gold and Gold Fields have partnered to form Asanko Gold Ghana Limited (“AGGL”). The major asset is the multi-pit Asanko Gold Mine complex in Ghana’s Ashanti region. Galiano Gold is in charge of operating and managing the Asanko Gold Mine.
Position Description
Asanko Gold is looking for adequately qualified graduates who have completed their obligatory National Service to join its Graduate Training Programme as: GRADUATE TRAINEE
PURPOSE
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, talent acquisition, and development programs, the primary goal of the program is to maintain a talent pool of young graduates from various disciplines and pass on to them the required minimum job experiences that are universal in the mining industry.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This will include, but is not limited to: undergoing on-the-job training through the concept of training through work;
- Develop positive work ethics and attitudes that are consistent with the Asanko Mission and Vision;
- Contribute to Asanko Gold Mine’s production efficiency, safety improvements, value addition, and cost-cutting measures.
- Comply with regulatory and policy requirements for one’s function, as well as occupational health, safety, and the environment;
- Through learning and development, you may help the organization accomplish its goals.
- Develop competence in your chosen job routes.
Required Qualifications or Experience
- They must have finished their National Service program at Asanko Gold Mine between 2021/2022 and 2022/2023.
- A degree or Higher National Diploma from a recognized and approved tertiary institution in one of the following subjects is required:
- BSc. Mining Engineering BSc. Geological/Geomatic Engineering BSc.
- Mineral/Metallurgy/Material Science/Chemical Engineering BSc. Mechanical/Electronic &
- Electronic/Automotive Engineering BSc. Environmental Science/Natural Resources BSc. Health & Safety Management
- BSc. / HND Logistics and Supply Chain/ Computer Science BSc. Civil/Architecture
- Engineering B.A. Social Sciences/Commerce/Accounting
- Must have a second class or below; must be proactive and exhibit the capacity to take suitable measures.
