POSITION: Inventory Coordinator

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Inventory Coordinator is in charge of issuing materials and receiving returned things.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist representatives from other departments in retrieving stock quantities for certain items.
  2. Process material requisitions and sales orders. This includes:
    • Identifying the physical position and amount of objects.
    • Create a packing list for warehouse assistants
    • Issuing Items from ERP Software
    • Transferring products to the user and generating waybills for packaged items
    • Ensure that materials are adequately packaged and marked for shipping.
    • Where things are given with an invoice, ensure that the invoice is included in the package.
  3. Check returned items against the initial MRN. This involves
    • Return items are physically inspected to ensure quantity and condition are correct.
    • Ensure that the things returned are in good enough condition for resale.
    • Return the products to their designated warehouse locations.
    • Ensure that returned products are stored in proper, safe conditions.
    • Update ERP software for items received.
  4. Avoid stockouts by monitoring minimum stock levels on a daily basis.
  5. Monitor ongoing initiatives to provide early notice of stockouts
  6.  Monitor sales forecasts to provide early notice of stockouts.
  7.  Make purchase requests based on sales forecasts, ongoing projects, and vendor lead times to ensure that minimum stock levels are maintained at all times.
  8. Report erroneous stock levels as they arise.
  9. Supervise picking, packaging, loading, unloading, and other warehouse management activities.
  10. Create purchase requests for low- and non-stock commodities based on material requisitions and sales orders.
  11. Provide filed records for material movement per project or sales order per customer.
  12. Supervise the work of junior employees in the department.
  13. Any other duties allocated in regard to the attainment of the company’s overall goals

OSHA RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures.
  • Follow all safe work practices, rules, and directions pertaining to work.
  • Hazard Identification and Reporting
  • Wear adequate PPE for work at all times.
  • Knowledge of the safe use of all tools and equipment, where applicable

Required Skill or Experience

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering – At least two years of experience in a similar capacity.
