POSITION: Head of Controlling

About the Role

The head of methods will ensure that mechanical system costs are maximized by effective planning, preparation, and, if necessary, monitoring of preliminary and curative work.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance purchases:

  • Create technical specifications for new acquisitions and services, and participate in conversations with suppliers or service providers.
  • Provide technical feedback to validate the pricing negotiated by the Procurement department.
  • Avoid stock depletion by completing purchase requisitions on schedule.

Investment and new works:

  • Participate in the planning and supervision of new projects.
  • Assist mechanical supervisors with strategic interventions and new projects.

Maintenance Management:

  • Collaborate with managers and technicians to create a mechanical maintenance budget and schedule preventative interventions and significant work stoppages.
  • Create protocols for preventative and curative treatments on mechanical installations.
  • Maintain the archiving of files related to the work of the major stops.
  • Maintain and update documentation for managed equipment.
  • Ensure that documentation related to the management system is archived, including action plans, work orders, and annual shutdown plans.
  • Propose enhancements to installations or operating modes.

Team Management:

  • Ensure that the maintenance personnel is properly supervised and trained.
  • Validate the team’s score on the system level.

Security and Environment:

  • Communicate safety and environmental concerns to the hierarchy, and follow waste management guidelines.
  • Perform all other linked activities and functions as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related subject. Master’s degrees are preferable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or method development positions.
  • Worked in a high-volume, fast-paced production setting.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software (such as AutoCAD and ERP/MRP systems).
  • A thorough awareness of manufacturing’s health, safety, and environmental regulations.
