West African Rescue Association is looking for staff to cover the following position: Training Academy Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Course Delivery: Conduct first aid training sessions to ensure that participants understand and can apply the skills taught.
- Curriculum development. Assist in developing and upgrading first aid training materials and curriculum in accordance with the most recent requirements and best practices.
- Participant Assessment: Evaluate participants’ performance using practical and written evaluations, providing constructive feedback to guarantee comprehensive and competence.
- Certification: Administer and process certifications to participants who successfully complete the training programs.
- Equipment Management: Maintain and manage training equipment and supplies to ensure they are in good working order and accessible for all training sessions.
- Compliance: Ensure that all training sessions adhere to national and international first aid standards and laws.
- Record keeping: Keep accurate records of training sessions, participant attendance, and certification status.
- Promotion and outreach: Help promote first-aid training programs and participate in outreach initiatives to involve the community and potential clients.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep up with the latest first aid practices, guidelines, and industry advances to continuously improve training programs.
- Regularly monitor and assess the training program’s efficacy, success, and ROI.
- Manage the training budget.
- Stay abreast of training trends, advances, and best practices.
- Provide a management report after each calendar month of the statistics from the Training Academy – an overview of who was trained, company names, where the training took place, an overview of feedback – how many nice comments, how many neutral, and how many positives
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- Valid certification as a First Aid Instructor from a recognized organization
- Be business-minded, goal-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Demonstrate great presenting abilities to conduct training efficiently.
- At least three years of work experience in a similar setting.
- Excellent verbal and writing communication abilities, including the ability to express complicated information understandably.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the ability to manage several training sessions and duties.
- Exhibits proficiency in executing and teaching first aid procedures covered in the course.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be proficient in information technology. (Word, Basic Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Candidates with medical experience will have an advantage.
