POSITION: Senior Accountant
Position Summary
As a Senior Accountant at Shalina Healthcare Ghana, you are vital in keeping financial records, generating reports and overseeing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting audits.
You work together with fellow accountants and various departments to guarantee precise and effective financial transactions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Confirm, assign, record, and balance accounts payable and receivable.
- Generate flawless accounting reports and showcase their findings.
- Examine financial data and encapsulate financial condition.
- Ensures and balances subsidiary accounts by confirming, distributing, recording, and reconciling transactions while addressing discrepancies with Teams.
- Oversees the general ledger by moving subsidiary accounts, creating a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
- Generates payroll by starting computer processing, printing checks, and confirming final output with the team.
- Aiding in the preparations for the yearly audit.
- Examining and addressing audit results, account inconsistencies, and instances of non-compliance.
- Conducting daily and monthly bank statement reconciliations.
- Obtain a bank statement and share it with the team.
- Compile daily tasks and sales reports (cash flow, collections, bank reconciliation).
- Create monthly entries for all closing provisions each month.
- Prepare balance sheet, vendor, customer, and expense.
- Manage tax audits for GRA and SSNIT.
Key Qualifications, Expertise, and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance. Having a Professional Certificate in Accounting/Finance is beneficial.
- 5 years in a comparable position, possess previous experience in the same field or a related sector.
