POSITION: Business Development Manager – Mining
Job Overview
In your role as Business Development Manager, you will spearhead growth initiatives in the mining sector of West Africa, leveraging your technical knowledge and business insight to promote sustainable development. This position is crucial for influencing market presence and fostering enduring client relationships.
Main Duties
- Attain anticipated yearly revenue increases by acquiring new clients and growing existing accounts.
- Create and implement quarterly business growth strategies that align with company objectives and market prospects.
- Oversee complete business development processes, from spotting potential clients to finalizing contracts, guaranteeing a robust sales pipeline.
- Develop and deliver persuasive technical and business proposals, emphasizing the value of our engineering solutions.
- Establish and nurture strategic connections with C-Level executives and key decision-makers in trends within mining companies.
- Examine market trends, rivals, and customer requirements to discover new service prospects.
- Work with technical teams to create innovative solutions customized for client issues.
- Serve as the company representative at major mining industry conferences and events
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Undergraduate Degree in Mining Engineering or a similar discipline
- Professional certifications in mining or business advancement are greatly esteemed.
- A Master’s degree (MBA) in business administration or a related area is beneficial.
Work Experience
- Over 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development in the mining industry.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in finalizing mining services agreements
- Skilled in both surface and underground mining operations
- Deep knowledge of trends, challenges, and opportunities in the mining sector.
Skills Required:
- Extensive technical expertise in mining operations, machinery, and support services
- Proficiency in creating business cases for mining
- Robust abilities in business development, marketing, and sales
- Outstanding abilities in communication, negotiation, and interpersonal relations
- Capability to analyze technical mining information and convert it into business strategies.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office
