Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced and driven HR Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will be responsible for shaping the employee experience, managing HR policy, and ensuring compliance with labor legislation. This position requires a strategic thinker with good interpersonal skills and a desire to build a healthy working culture.
Intercontinental Group Ghana Ltd is an owned Ghanaian company that trades commodities and specializes in fertilizers for the local Ghanaian market. The corporation actively engages in the government’s flagship “Planting for Food and Jobs program” and provides farmers with NPK and UREA.
About the Role
- Create and implement HR strategies and initiatives that are aligned with the overall business plan.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract, hire, and retain top personnel.
- Manage the onboarding process for new workers to ensure a smooth transition into the firm.
- Develop and oversee overall HR strategies, methods, tactics, and procedures for the organization.
- Addressing demands, grievances, and other concerns can help to bridge the gap between management and employees.
- Support present and future business needs by developing, engaging, motivating, and preserving human capital.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that encourages top performance.
- Maintain the pay plan and benefit scheme.
- Assess training requirements to implement and monitor training programs.
- Maintain legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Report to management and use HR metrics to help make decisions.
Required Skill or Experience
- Proven work experience as an HR Manager or another HR Executive.
- People-focused and results-driven.
- Proven experience with HR metrics.
- Understanding of HR systems and databases.
- The ability to architect strategy, as well as leadership qualities.
- Outstanding active listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Competence in developing and effectively managing interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Extensive grasp of labor law and HR best practices.
- Degree/Master’s degree in human resources or a similar discipline; HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is preferred.
