The Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management (CIHRM), Ghana, is an autonomous national professional body, founded in 1978, and operates under the CIHRM, Ghana Act 2020. The Institute is seeking to employ a suitably qualified individual as: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

JOB PURPOSE

To take the lead in putting Council decisions into action by setting the overall direction, coordinating, and overseeing the activities of the Secretariat in a way that makes the Institute a well-known professional group both locally and abroad.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Helps to make sure that the Institute’s overall plan is put together well.
• It comes up with yearly work plans and other activities related to putting the plan into action, and it sends periodic reports to the Council.
• It tells the Secretariat how to make policies, processes, and programs for managing staff that have to do with human resources and how to put them into action.
• Also, Gives advice on how the Secretariat’s finances should be managed.
• Governance and safety are made easier with the right tools. Gives ideas for improving the membership drive. Provides general supervision and promotion for the Institute’s Professional Certification Programme, Continuing Professional
• Lastly, Services and goods related to Education, Consulting, and Research.

KEY EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• A master’s degree or higher in human resources is required.
• Management or something similar from a well-known university.
• A Chartered Member of the Institute at least or equivalent professional title, with at least fifteen years of experience
• (15) years of useful work experience after they got their degree.
• Having a PhD will be an added bonus.
• HR achievements in a C-Suite that have been proven.
• Executive or top management job in business or education. Project management in an organization that has worked well in the past.

COMPETENCIES

• Ability to make strategic plans and put them into action, Human Resource Systems, rules, and plans for management at an expert level.
• Ability to connect with people and get them involved.
• exposure to the best practices in leadership, managing human resources, and other connected areas from around the world.
• Know how to manage people and processes and be good at it. Proficient knowledge of labor rules and regulations, financial management, and marketing.
• To reach goals, you need to be able to plan, organize, and carry out work plans. The ability to use technology to do their jobs.
• Ability to think creatively and come up with new ways to run processes.
