A public service organisation in the film sector in Ghana officially invites applications from qualified persons to fill the underlisted vacancy as IT Officer
GRADE: ASSISTANT OFFICER
OBJECTIVES OF POSITION
- To provide technical support for the installation and implementation of Information Technology/ Information and Content Management Systems
- To provide innovative solutions to support various initiatives by the organization
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Undertaken installation and repairs of all peripheral equipment for the organisation
- Handles IT related complaints from users and document all incidents
- Maintains up-to-date inventory of all IT equipments
- Ensures all cable systems are labelled and functions correctly
- Evaluates and oversees systems functionality and ensures that IT facilities meet user’s needs
- Researches, upgrades and installs new systems
- Provides users with appropriate support and advice
- Manage crisis situations including technical hardware or software challenge
- Monitors training and the development of IT support staff
- Regularly update the Management Information Systems for management decision making
- Ensures staff are trained on usage of computers and other accessories across the organisation
- Coordinate the development of the organisation’s long and short range ICT plans
- Supervises the implementation of security measures to protect the organisations ICT installations, structures and systems
- Improves ICT infrastructure, access to data and archiving of information
- Code and test programming for software and mobile apps
- Develop and deploy computer applications
- Ensure effective management of the National Film Archive
- Responsible for creating websites, new software programs and
applications to support various initiatives by the organization
QUALIFICATION
- A minimum of 1st Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline from a recognized University or equivalent professional qualification
- Must have completed National Service
- In addition must have good knowledge and experience in the areas of
- Data Management
- Computer Hardware and Software
- Research Data analysis and Interpretation
- Good communication, Interpersonal and Presentation Skills
- Qualitative and Quantitative Analytics
- MIS Security
- Leadership and Ethics
