Ingenio Capital New Job Announcement

Role: Human Resources Manager

Our client, an FMCG company in Ghana, wants to hire a Human Resources Manager with a lot of experience who can help the company in a big way.

ROLE PURPOSE

The HR manager will be in charge of the HR group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all HR issues in the company, including hiring, performance reviews, salary reviews, and disciplinary actions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow company policy when it comes to hiring, firing, and finding new employees.
  • Set up rules and procedures for all administration, human resources, and workflow.
  • Follow the laws and rules of Ghana in everything you do. Watch over the functions of taking attendance and managing time.
  • Coordinate with official bodies about the legal side of the organization, such as where non-Ghanaian team members can live and get work permits.
  • Check on Social Security, the city government, and other official parties.
  • Do a training needs assessment (TNA) for staff, make training plans on a regular basis, follow up on their implementation, and plan all internal learning sessions and in-house training.
  • Take care of insurance contracts and be the go-to person for staff, headquarters, and the insurance company.
  • Give the staff daily information about benefits and policies from Human Resources.
  • Update and keep written and computerized employment records on staff, including making sure that data and notices are correct.
  • Taking care of payroll and rewards. Staff should be given advice and help about HR policies and procedures.
  • Help purchasing officers through the process of evaluating suppliers, interviewing vendors, negotiating agreements with suppliers, and managing supplier and vendor contracts.
  • Provide administrative support when needed to help administrative staff with their tasks.
  • Tasks like answering the phone, sorting and delivering mail, and putting together documents.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or equivalent.
  • MBAs or Masters degrees will be a plus. HR professional with a certificate.
  • Experience working in human resources or a field related to it,
  • The ability to make and keep good relationships with coworkers.
  • Knowledge of how to teach and coach staff. Experience with resolving conflicts, dealing with punishments, and doing investigations at work.
  • Experience with following and keeping privacy rules in the workplace. Having the skills to give presentations.
  • Laws about health and safety that you need to know.
