POSITION: Lab Analyst 

GGBL maintains two locations and distributes four types of beverages: stout, lager, RTD, and malt, as well as spirits. The company is Ghana’s largest brewer, accounting for around 75% of the market. Ghana’s economy is predicted to grow at a mid to high single-digit rate in a driven environment. Consumers in this region anticipate high-quality products. There is also a growing middle class that is willing to try new things. GGBL is undergoing major change, particularly in terms of accountability, quality maintenance standards, supply planning, cost reduction, and efficiency.

In accordance with its goals, GGBL will develop its employees and foster an environment that attracts and maintains the best talent. As the Supply function, we will produce high-quality items in a safe environment at cost-effective rates, on schedule, and without faults. The Quality Analyst is a member of the QA Laboratory team, responsible for assisting the production team and providing accurate, fast, and cost-effective microbiological services to fulfill client needs.

The purpose of the role

  • Collaborates with the Production team to provide technical analytical and microbiological services and expertise.
  • Collaborate to prioritize quality, cost, and customer service.
  • Conduct analytical and microbiological analyses in accordance with the sampling plan to meet customer needs.
  • Proactively identify possibilities for continual improvement in QA.
  • Committed to personal and team growth through agreed-upon training programs, such as P4G

Principal Accountabilities

  • Contribute to workplace health and safety requirements. Frequently say and articulate that safety is our top priority.
  • Be a transparent ambassador for safety by always behaving safely and constantly criticizing others’ unsafe methods and behaviour, reprimanding if needed.
  • Enforce the site’s safety requirements, as well as the operational procedures for systems and equipment.
  • Must be committed to producing safe and quality products in compliance with the DWB, Technical Standards, and the Food Safety and Quality Management System.
  • Provide comprehensive analytical and microbiological services to the Production and Support teams.
  • Be the aligned team’s Quality Voice.
  • Maintain the highest standards in terms of quality, cost, and customer service.
  • Provide a dedicated service to its consumers throughout the brewery.
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of colleagues on the technical side of the business to conduct analysis and provide the services required.
  • Take responsibility for their training and growth.

Qualifications And Experience/Skills Required

  • Preferably an HND (Laboratory Technology) or equivalent.
  • Proven proficiency in chemical, microbiological, or brewing quality control.
  • At least three years of lab experience in an ISO 9001 environment.
  • Proven teamwork skills in a fast-paced manufacturing or quality assurance setting.
  • Fundamental quality insight, Passionate about the overall company demand and how it affects GGBL production activities.
  • Analytical thinking style.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Helped the team function efficiently.
  • Basic computing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize over competing needs.
  • Demonstrates commitment to achieving high-quality outcomes.
  • Coordinate and offer training to team members and production people.
  • Flexible Working Options: This position is centered on GGBL Production locations.
