POSITION: Production Assistant
About us:
Our staff is dedicated to providing outstanding products to our consumers while maintaining the highest quality and production standards. We are searching for a motivated and detail-oriented manufacturing Assistant to join our manufacturing team and help create our delectable chocolate products.
Role Overview:
As a Production Assistant, you will play an important role in assisting the manufacturing process at our plant. You will be in charge of aiding with the day-to-day operations of chocolate production, ensuring that products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and that production schedules are maintained. This position involves on-site presence to work closely with the production team and guarantee that our manufacturing processes run well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture Support: Help with the preparation, manufacture, and packaging of chocolate goods, adhering to established protocols and recipes to ensure uniformity and quality.
- Quality Control: Products are monitored and inspected throughout the manufacturing process to guarantee that they satisfy our high-quality requirements. Report any problems or flaws to the production supervisor.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment to ensure that it is working properly and safely. Assist in the cleaning and sanitation of equipment to ensure a sanitary production environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing raw materials and supplies, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained and materials are correctly stored. Assist in the receipt and storage of ingredients and packaging supplies.
- Collaboration and communication: Work closely with other production team members to ensure that production objectives are reached. Communicate any production issues or needs to the production supervisor.
- Continuous Improvement: Take part in continuous improvement activities to improve production efficiency and product quality. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve procedures and equipment usage.
- Safety and compliance: Follow all safety measures and business standards to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure that you follow food safety and keep the workspace clean and orderly.
Requirements:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in food science, engineering, manufacturing, or another relevant profession
- Previous experience in the food processing or production industry is preferred. A strong desire to learn and adapt to the production process is required.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of food production equipment and machinery is advantageous. Ability to learn and use machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in quality control and manufacturing processes.
Physical stamina: The ability to stand for extended periods, lift large objects, and execute repetitive tasks in a fast-paced setting. - Team Player: Demonstrates excellent teamwork and communication abilities, as well as the ability to operate well in a team atmosphere.
- Location: The ability to work on-site in Koforidua, Eastern Region is essential.
Nice to have:
- Previous experience with chocolate or candy production.
- Understand food safety rules and best practices.
- Basic understanding of inventory management systems.
