Position Summary
The Director of Business Development will be tasked with finding, cultivating, and securing new business prospects in the areas of events, marketing, and creative services. This position demands a self-assured leader with extensive industry knowledge, robust connections, and a commitment to innovation and client achievement.
Main Duties
- Create and implement a strong business development plan that aligns with the growth objectives of Global Ovations.
- Recognize and chase novel business prospects in essential sectors such as FMCG, telecommunications, finance, lifestyle, and the public sector.
- Develop and uphold a robust pipeline of prospective clients and strategic collaborators.
- Represent the organization in pitch presentations, industry events, and top-tier negotiations.
- Work together with internal teams to create customized proposals and effective client solutions.
- Keep updated on market trends, competitor movements, and client requirements to guide growth strategy.
- Guide RFP/RFQ responses and collaborate with cross-functional teams for prompt, successful submissions.
- Attain revenue goals for each quarter and for the year.
Job Requirements:
- Over 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial strategy in the marketing, events, media, or communications sectors.
- A demonstrated history of successfully securing and expanding significant accounts or collaborations.
- Robust network of professional relationships and a deep insight into the Ghanaian and West African commercial environment.
- Outstanding abilities in presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication.
- Business-oriented mentality driven by a zeal for developing and expanding influential collaborations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a similar discipline (MBA is advantageous).
