GES Releases Postings for Successful Applicants
The Ghana Education Service (GES) is excited to announce the release of postings for those applicants who have successfully applied for teaching positions within the Service.
After a thorough shortlisting process, qualified candidates have been chosen to become part of the GES family.
Successful applicants will be able to access their appointment letters on the GES website www.gespromotions.gov.gh starting tomorrow, November 22nd, through Friday, November 29th, 2024.
The Management of GES extends heartfelt congratulations to all successful applicants and encourages them to exhibit outstanding professionalism and commitment to teaching and learning.
About The Ghana Education Service (GES)
The Ghana Education Service (GES) was established in 1974 as part of the Public Service of Ghana by NRCD 247 and later changed by NRCD 252, 357, and SMCD 63. Parliamentary Acts 506 (1994) and 778 (2008) changed earlier laws under Ghana’s fourth Republican Constitution. GES Council, with fifteen members, oversees the organization.
Vision Statement
The Ghana Education Service aims to establish a supportive atmosphere in all educational institutions and management roles that will promote effective teaching and learning, as well as enhance management efficiency to achieve the Service’s objectives.
Mission Statement
To guarantee that every Ghanaian child of school-going age receives inclusive and equitable quality formal education and training through the effective and efficient management of resources, ensuring that education delivery aligns with the nation’s manpower needs.
Mandate of GES
GES oversees the execution of sanctioned national pre-tertiary educational policies and programs to guarantee that every Ghanaian child of school age, regardless of tribe, gender, disability, religious, and political affiliations, receives inclusive and equitable quality formal education.
Four (4) main programs under the GES
- Pre-tertiary education management, which includes headquarters divisions, and regional and district directorates.
- Basic education, which includes kindergarten, primary, and junior high schools.
- Secondary education, which includes Senior High School (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET).
