FS Project Officer at SOS Children’s Villages International

Job Description

Under the direction of the Project Coordinator, the Project Officer will help develop projects in the area of family strengthening that are in line with the idea note, log frame, and budget that have been approved. This includes working directly with children, parents, communities, and partners based on professional social work practice, ethics, and beliefs to help families grow and fit into the community. He or she is also in charge of making sure that the family development plans are finished on time with the help of the children and helpers.

The right person should

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, economics, or community development.
• Have at least two years of work in Child and Community Development and Project Management
• Have a skilled and upbeat attitude. Very well planned, able to work alone, take charge, and keep promises.
• Be a self-starter who is motivated and able to take the lead at work. Have good organizational and time management skills and be able to meet goals with accuracy.
• Must know about the rights of children and how to keep them safe.
• Team player and able to work with department and project heads.
