Scholarships for single parents
Mrs. V., a BTS nursing student, is raising her 4-year-old daughter by herself. Mrs. V. does not have access to REVIS as a student. Mrs. V. was forced to work in addition to her daughter’s schooling and to pursue her own education, risking having to give up on her studies due to rigid scheduling for hospital internships.
The COVID-19 pandemic has made a number of such cases worse, so the Foundation established a fund specifically for single mothers who want to go to college. This stipend, which has a monthly value of €300, is given out as housing aid based on merit.
BAföG
Increased funding, increased eligibility, and simplified digital application
The advantages of BAföG have increased with the 27th BAföG Amendment Act.
The Federal Training Support Act, frequently abbreviated as BAföG, offers financial assistance to students.
Since talent and motivation—rather than financial means in the home—determine whether a child begins schooling or receives training—BAföG has been ensuring equitable opportunities for almost 50 years in Germany. The gains in performance since the winter semester of 2022-2023 or at the start of the school year have benefited the students. More funds, more qualified applicants, and simpler digital applications are a few of them!
