Role Summary:
- Lead the engineering team, with Senior Engineers reporting directly to you.
- Develop and implement plans for expanding WeWire abroad.
- Collaborate with C-Suite stakeholders and leaders to accelerate product development.
- Promote customer-centric ways to meet user demands and improve experiences.
- Working with cross-functional teams to identify, design, and deliver new features.
- Use data-driven decision-making to determine product direction and success measures.
- Manage planning and roadmaps to ensure they are aligned with WeWire’s overall business objectives.
You should apply if:
- You have previous experience leading engineering teams (including managing Engineering Leaders at the Director level).
- You have over ten years of experience delivering successful, customer-centric digital products in both commercial and consumer IT companies.
- You can communicate clearly and convincingly with a wide range of audiences systematically.
- You can clearly illustrate the effect and success of your prior work and your team’s efforts concerning business objectives.
- You can break down difficult problems and then solve them (for both customers and businesses).
- You are comfortable using data to anchor your thinking in analysis, identifying key indicators and their drivers, and assessing the success of your work.
- You make sound decisions in complex situations where there is frequently no “right answer”.
- You can work well with a wide range of people and working styles to get things done, and you can challenge and influence your coworkers thoughtfully and productively.
- You can immediately develop trust and help your teams perform well.
- You are passionate about delivering end-to-end efforts across the stack and have prior experience with Typescript, React, and NestJS.
- You have practical experience, and a thorough understanding of AWS services is a bonus.
- You’re excellent at unit and integration testing.
- You understand and value good engineering methods such as continuous delivery, defensive programming, and automated testing.
- You have a product mindset: you care about customer outcomes and prefer to make data-driven decisions.
- You love learning rapidly and collaborating with your product team to provide value to your consumers and partners.
- You enjoy working in a team that deals with ambiguity.

The interview process:
All interview phases are conducted virtually. Our process normally includes three primary stages.
- Initial Call: video call using Google Meet or physical (30 minutes)
- Take-home task – to finish on your own time (within 48 hours).
- Role Specific and Values Interview – video chat using Google Meet (x2, 60 minutes)
- Our normal procedure takes 2–3 weeks, however, we will always work with your schedule.
