Position Summary

The Salt Sales Supervisor will manage and organize the sales activities in a salt production unit, guaranteeing that sales goals are achieved while fostering robust customer connections. This position entails overseeing the sales team, creating market strategies, and increasing the company’s market share by utilizing efficient sales methods and engaging with customers.

Main Duties:

  • Sales Team Oversight: Guide and assist the sales team in reaching both personal and group sales goals.
  • Market Growth: Discover fresh business prospects and create plans to boost sales in both current and emerging markets.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Establish and nurture robust connections with distributors, wholesalers, and important clients to guarantee customer contentment.
  • Sales Performance Tracking: Monitor sales patterns, examine performance metrics, and deliver reports to management with insights and suggestions.
  • Pricing & Negotiation: Support in developing pricing strategies and negotiating contracts with clients to ensure profitable agreements.
  • Product Familiarity: Make sure the sales team is knowledgeable about the attributes, advantages, and uses of the company’s salt products.
  • Competitor Evaluation: Perform market analysis to observe competitor actions, pricing models, and consumer preferences to enhance sales tactics.
  • Sales Training & Development: Offer continuous training and support to the sales team to improve their skills and product expertise.
  • Order & Inventory Management: Collaborate closely with production and logistics teams to guarantee prompt order completion and appropriate inventory levels.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Confirm that sales operations adhere to corporate guidelines, sector regulations, and health and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a similar discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales is required, ideally in the manufacturing of salt and spices or the FMCG sector.
  • Robust leadership, effective communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Demonstrated capability to achieve and surpass sales goals.
  • Experience in overseeing a sales team and handling field sales activities.
  • Understanding distribution networks and supply chain dynamics within the salt sector.
  • Skill in Microsoft Office and CRM applications.
  • Capability to travel as needed to engage with clients and investigate new markets.
