FieldCore is seeking an extraordinary Lead Aero Mechanical Field Engineer and Technical Field Advisor to join our Field Operations team in Ghana/Nigeria.

As a Technical Field Advisor for Aeroderivative Gas Turbines, you will be in charge of managing and overseeing site activities to complete the scope of work under contractual requirements and by directly executing and/or directing extra resources.
How You Will Make A Difference:
- On-site technical guidance throughout start-up, commissioning, and maintenance of customer-owned power production and industrial facilities.
- Providing installation and routine maintenance inspection instructions, as well as repair and rebuild services for equipment of various sizes and applications.
- Preparing job planning papers as needed.
- Providing clear, detailed, and accurate input for daily outages and weekly installation reports.
- Communicate schedule specifics, project milestones, resource requirements, quality issues, difficulties encountered, and tools/equipment to key stakeholders.
- Providing leadership and technical direction to skilled workers working on customer sites to ensure that job activity fulfills the customer’s needs.
- Implementing quality control standards for on-site repairs and modifications under Engineering and Product Development Standards.
- Maintaining a strong safety attitude to ensure that the completed work reflects the technical criteria within the company’s safety standards.
- Creating timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and as a reference for future interruptions.
- Possessing the technical capacity to diagnose and offer routine maintenance checkout for a variety of equipment system vintages.
- Perform work at customer locations throughout the globe, with potential work locations worldwide.
Special Role Requirements:
- Capable of traveling widely worldwide for projects and field assignments.
- Willing to work holidays, weekends, and extra as needed for field assignments.
- Ability to spend significant time away from home for training and field assignments.
Skills for Success
- You should have considerable Field Engineering Services expertise and a thorough understanding of Gas Turbine Operation and Control Parameters. You will also:
- Strong technical expertise in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams. Dial and laser alignment, and thermal growth equipment
- Have the knowledge and skills to actively participate in field service activities, as well as know where to go for answers to questions that arise. Has had successful installations.
- Have experience working on successful installations and training on Alstom, Siemens, or other OEM equipment.
- A formal education and then university A bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering is desirable, but we are more interested in your overall experience and professional accomplishments. We’re striving to be the ideal place for growth.
