POSITION: Contract Project Manager
Job Summary
This job involves managing the contract between EthosEnergy and our customer for a project in Ghana. The goal is to make sure the customer’s important requirements (CTQs) are met according to the contract and EthosEnergy’s responsibilities under the Long Term Service Agreement.
Job Duties
- Make sure all company staff work safely and promote a good safety culture on site.
- Follow company health and safety rules for all processes.
- Ensure that we meet our promises to the customer on time, within budget, safely, and to high-quality standards.
- Prepare and deliver contract documents like reports, notices, and invoices.
- Keep the contract folder updated with parts history, cost estimates, and profit reviews.
- Look for new opportunities with the customer and work with the Sales team to provide additional services and add value.
- Meet or exceed contract performance goals (KPIs) to maximize chances for bonuses.
- Reduce schedule changes and be responsive to any customer issues.
- Identify technical problems that could affect contract delivery and work with the relevant teams to resolve them.
- Build good relationships with customers and our internal staff, including site leaders and technical advisors.
- Prepare and send weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as needed.
- Control costs and monitor financials, ensuring reports are sent on time.
- Bill for planned and additional work and collect payment according to contract terms.
- Ensure quick and accurate billing and resolve any invoice issues quickly to avoid delays.
- Create and send internal and external purchase orders (POs).
- Follow our service excellence standards, including holding meetings before and after jobs with suppliers.
- Learn from past experiences and apply those lessons.
- Ensure that the field service team creates method statements, risk assessments, and quality plans for all on-site work.
- Keep scorecards updated with correct data on KPIs and ensure they are finalized after job completion.
- Review and approve all reports sent to customers.
- Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by management.
Skills Needed
- Strong skills in managing projects and understanding business.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and people skills.
- Ability to manage people well.
- Maintain professionalism.
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software.
Experience Required
- Proven experience in a similar role in the power, oil, gas, or process industry.
- Managing Gas Turbine Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA) or similar contracts with companies like GE, ALSTOM, or SIEMENS is preferred.
Education Requirements
- Minimum of HND in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
- Recognized project management qualification (e. g, APMP, Prince2) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work on-site in hot and humid conditions, as found in tropical countries.
