Job title: Software Engineering Manager
About the Role
- Take care of a number of tasks that vary in how important they are. Set deadlines and meet them, keep track of activities, and report on how development is going.
- Handle changes in the requirements, priorities, and deadlines for building software.
- Complete tasks on time and according to the company’s standards.
- Make sure that high-quality, error-free work is delivered that meets all requirements and is done consistently and with attention to detail.
- Take care of his or her own workspace, making sure all software and hardware tools are working and in good shape (up to date, secure, virus-free, backed up, etc.).
- Take care of your responsibilities and make the right choices within the limits you’ve been given.
- Enforce, set up, and change processes and policies to make the company more efficient and effective, according to the vision of upper management.
- Come up with new and creative solutions, ideas, and concepts that work. Software developers need to be open-minded and creative.

- Able to talk and write clearly and effectively. able to organize their thoughts to get their message across in an effective and efficient way, with a focus on consistency, clarity, and brevity, and to get the listener’s attention (s).
- Works well with others and is willing to work together for everyone’s benefit.

- Able and willing to take part in company meetings, share ideas and opinions, listen to other people’s points of view, and accept decisions made by the group as a whole.
- Deals with stress and long periods of a lot of work. stays calm in bad situations and is still able to handle priorities and tasks
Requirement
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering and relevant work experience in a business related to AgriTech, FinTech, EduTech, IoT, SaaS, or ICT.
- One or more professional certifications in software development, system/network administration, or project management.
- Have done software development for at least five years or more.
- Get used to the agile/scrum software development process, which has sprints every two weeks.
- Be able to use office suites, including software for managing projects
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams based on trust, credibility, and respect.
- Speak and write English well, and be able to communicate well both orally and in writing.
- A leader of the team, a team player, a decision-maker, and a motivator.
- Someone who takes action, is self-motivated, independent, reliable, and flexible.
