Credit Control Officer Job Available At Non-bank financial institution
A reputable non-bank financial institution is seeking to recruit suitably qualified persons for the following positions: CREDIT CONTROL OFFICER
Job Description
- JOB TITLE: CREDIT CONTROL OFFICER
- GRADE: ASSISTANT MANAGER
- REPORTS TO: HEAD OF FINANCE
Key Responsibilities
Successful applicants will perform the duties below:
- Firstly, ensure prompt and accurate entries of all remittances in the Software
- Secondly, ensure prompt and accurate pairing of all remittances in the Software
- Thirdly, ensure accurate monthly statements are sent to partners promptly
- Also, undertake quarterly reconciliation of balances with partners
- Moreso, produce a quarterly schedule of outstanding balances for the Supervisor’s review
- Additionally, produce a reliable ageing analysis of partner balances
- Besides that, assist in developing a credit control policy for the company
- Afterward, assist in setting and monitoring credit limits for partners
- Aside from that, ensure demand letters are sent to partners who do not adhere to payment terms
- Furthermore, ensure reconciliation of partner balances in technical and accounting software
- Again, produce a monthly report on the activities of the credit control unit
- Moreover, ensure prompt collection of outstanding balances to minimize impairment provision
- Last but not least, any other duty that may be relevant to the performance of the credit control function

Key Managerial Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge of the use of computer software (SicsNT and Sun)
- Good Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
- Good leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Negotiating skills
- Strong reconciliations and analytical skills
- Debt recovery management skills
- Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills
Qualification and Experience
- Must be a Chartered Accountant
- Relevant University degree plus a minimum of six (6) years’ work experience including two years in a managerial position or
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of work experience in the insurance industry.
