St. Francis College of Education in Hohoe is a well-known public Catholic teacher education school. As part of the plan to change how teachers are trained, the College is linked to the University of Cape Coast. The college’s goal is to be a well-known College of Education that trains top-notch science and math teachers for basic schools in Ghana and around the world. The college’s goal is to create a place that helps students grow as whole people and supports teaching, learning, and research.
What the job entails
The College Relations and Public Affairs Unit is in charge of making sure that the College’s message, agenda, and image are communicated to both internal and external audiences in an effective and creative way. The goal is to improve communication between the College and its publics.
The College Relations and Public Affairs Officer is in charge of the College’s Unit for College Relations and Public Affairs. Officers at this level are expected to have good judgment, initiative, creativity, accuracy, and professionalism in their area of specialization. When doing their jobs, the College Relations and Public Affairs Officer will report to the College Secretary.
Skills or Experience Needed
If you want to be hired as a College Relations and Public Affairs Officer, you must:
- Have a master’s degree in public relations, communication, or another field related to the job.
- Membership in a professional group, like the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) or the Institute of Public Relations (IPR), is a plus.
- Have at least five years of experience working in the field
- The applicant must know how to use computers.
- Must have a lot of personal integrity, be careful, and not do anything wrong.
- Must have great people skills and communication skills.
