Collaborative Research and Training Program (Canada) Fully Funded by NSERC 2024

Students in Canada may submit applications for the NSERC Collaborative Research and Training Program for 2024, which is fully supported. Master’s and Ph.D. scholarships are available from Canadian universities.

Scholarship information:

The CREATE program offers postdoctoral fellows and highly qualified students from Canada and abroad financial support through cutting-edge training programs that foster teamwork and tackle pressing scientific issues in line with Canada’s research priorities. The program equips students with the necessary professional skills to complement their technical abilities and position them for successful employment in business, politics, non-governmental organizations, or academia.

The curriculum encourages interdisciplinary study in the arts, social sciences, engineering, health, and natural sciences. It encourages student mobility and partnerships between business and academia. The industrial stream exposes participants to business concerns and gives them training in skills that businesses have identified as being important for job preparation.

The winning applicants will be a group of accomplished researchers who will work together to offer students a research training program. The teaching and mentorship of graduate students should be improved, and postdoctoral fellows may be supported. The program honors initiatives that support a vibrant environment for research training and mentoring, educate and mentor highly qualified professionals, establish best practices for research training, and encourage student mobility. Training programs supported by industry promote industrial job readiness.

In addition, applicants are urged to manage their research carefully, form relationships with local, national, and international organizations, and take advantage of chances to increase trainees in existing training programs.

Available Topics

  • Under this scholarship program, you can study any subject.

Eligibility Requirements

There are requirements for candidates, co-applicants, and institutions. Only Canadian universities that are NSERC-eligible may apply for CREATE funding, and the candidate must be employed there in a capacity that qualifies. Collaborators may include researchers from non-eligible organizations.

Make sure you take into account the eligibility requirements for applicants, co-applicants, and collaborators listed under the Faculty eligibility criteria on NSERC’s website. Please be aware that the 1-year COVID-19 extension to the CREATE funds impacts the eligibility of applicants or co-applicants for new applications to the CREATE program and adds to the grant length.

Applications from multiple universities:

The proposal must name at least one co-applicant for each university that will participate in the application. This guarantees that all interested students and fellows at that university have access to CREATE money. Whether or not the students/fellows are directly supervised by the co-applicant, the co-applicant will manage the money on their behalf.
