Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and analytical Business Analyst to join our team. The Business Analyst’s responsibilities will include assessing market trends, identifying business opportunities, and offering insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of the agricultural commodities market.
Key Responsibilities
- Doing market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the agricultural commodities sector.
- Collect and analyze data from a variety of sources to deliver useful insights and recommendations.
- Create and manage business intelligence tools and dashboards for tracking key performance indicators.
- Work with the sales, operations, and finance teams to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Create detailed reports and presentations for high management to assist with strategic planning.
- Identify and assess possible business possibilities and alliances.
- Track and report on market developments, regulatory changes, and competitor actions.
- Assist in the creation of business strategies and plans to meet company goals.
- Help implement new company procedures and systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business, actuarial science, economics, finance, agriculture, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years experience in business analysis, ideally in the agricultural commodities market.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, as well as knowledge of data analysis tools (such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau).
- Exceptional communication and presenting skills.
- The ability to work independently while managing many projects at the same time.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the agricultural commodities market and supply chain is beneficial.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Be willing to travel as needed.
