We’re seeking a General Manager in Ghana to oversee our Rides business segment.
You will be in charge of building and maintaining essential relationships with market stakeholders; driving growth in passenger and driver acquisition, engagement, and retention to reinforce our leadership position; and managing and developing a high-performing team.

This strategic function will serve as the liaison between our company and important country stakeholders (such as regulators, government officials, and local communities).
You will collaborate closely with the local operations and support teams, the regional manager, and the headquarters teams (Public Relations, Growth Analytics, Central Operations, Marketing, Product, Regulatory, and Customer Support).
This is an important, influential, and highly gratifying position: Ghana is a promising market for Bolt, and you will spearhead the quest to make urban transit more affordable, safe, convenient, and sustainable.
Responsibilities
Your daily experiences will include the following:
- Lead the financial and strategic planning process and be accountable for its implementation in Ghana.
- Develop, implement, and optimize local business and operational strategies/goals in collaboration with the local operations team.
- Working directly with local authorities and policymakers to advocate for and elevate
- Bolt’s brand, product, and service.
- Expand Bolt’s presence and services throughout Ghana.
- Form strategic partnerships with drivers, local fleet owners, and other relevant businesses/entities.
- Identify trends, hazards, and mitigation/improvement possibilities on a local scale that may affect the firm.
- Advise and work closely with HQ teams including Product, People, and Marketing to develop and implement critical initiatives that drive growth and efficiency.
- Take ownership of Bolt’s growth in Ghana by ensuring that both local operations and headquarters teams actively support and collaborate to reach business goals.
About You:
- You have 7+ years of expertise in operations management or general management roles with profit and loss experience.
- You possess great leadership and collaboration abilities, as well as good negotiation and communication skills in English. Additionally, you are analytical and data-driven, with proficiency in Excel.
- You have a strong sense of ownership and a hands-on attitude.
- You are comfortable creating business frameworks to back your strategy and decisions.
- Interested in ride-sharing and emerging technologies? An MBA or consulting experience is preferred, but not required.
