POSITION: Account Manager, Large Corporate

Job Summary

  • The successful candidate will work as an Account Manager for Large Corporate in the AT Business Department. (S)He will report to the Sales Manager for Large Corporate.
  • The individual will protect and develop income from allocated Large Corporate Accounts across the country through account planning, opportunity management, and relationship building to reach annual sales and revenue targets, as well as profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide account information to the Sales Manager so that they can design a sales plan and monitor its implementation.
  • Build solid relationships with corporate brands to reach profitability and revenue targets by selling AT’s fixed and mobile solutions.
  • Create contact strategies and account development plans (ADPs) for each allotted account.
  • Create a pipeline of methodically qualified prospects, supervising the decision-making process within allotted accounts to ensure sales opportunities are closed.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the customer’s business strategies and communication dependencies, while also offering AT Business’s compelling value proposition.
  • Determine sales training and development requirements and manage skill enhancement for yourself.
  • Ensure that channels are integrated and supported by relevant technologies such as CRM; employ knowledge management to improve account management professionalism.
  • Complete integration of quality management processes into all sales operations for the assigned accounts, ensuring effective deployment daily.
  • Using applicable metrics and measures, routinely assess progress toward targets and take appropriate action to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure that all existing and new clients have up-to-date contracts and that service is renewed beyond the contract anniversary.
  • Ensure complete compliance with telecommunications licensing terms, sector rules, and competition laws.
  • Maintain effective working connections with internal and external clients, as well as account teams in the Ghana Head Office.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A business studies degree or its equivalent
  • Minimum of four years of sales/account management experience in an enterprise solution/business environment, particularly in telecoms.
  • Strong consultative selling skills.
  • At least two years of driving experience.

  • Contribute to the AT Business sales strategy and decision-making processes by offering relevant feedback.
  • In-depth grasp of the enterprise solutions requirements of the commercial sector – manufacturing, hospitality, Internet Service Providers, etc.
  • The ability to provide “thought leadership” in the AT Business and commercial spaces.
  • Self-motivated and self-starting, with the determination to see sales prospects through to successful completion using exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • A thorough commercial grasp of how Enterprise Sales solutions can be used to generate commercial value in customers’ businesses.
  • Able to properly represent AT Business Solutions.
  • Capability to lead and manage a virtual account team, motivating people to meet objectives.
  • Analytical thinker capable of planning and executing actions to capitalize on sales possibilities.
  • Highest professional integrity

Key KPIs

  • Achieve total revenue targets, manage base revenue, and meet acquisition targets.
  • Target customer happiness.
