POSITION: Sales and Marketing Executive
Ascoma Ghana is a subsidiary of Groupe Ascoma, an international insurance brokerage corporation with a strong presence in Sub-Saharan Africa for the past 70 years.
Join Ascoma Ghana’s highly qualified and interdisciplinary team as a Sales and Marketing Executive.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Prospect for new clients, B2B sales.
- Conduct technical audits for new client acquisitions.
- Stay current on client development, mergers, and acquisitions to find new business and product opportunities.
- Ensure timely and excellent client services.
- Confer with the team and offer relevant solutions to ensure an effective and efficient brokerage service.
- Meeting monthly targets through new business acquisition opportunities and cross-selling to grow existing businesses.
- Collaborate with the head of sales and marketing to solicit information for external agencies such as insurance companies and competition brokers.
- Collaborate with other team members to gain market share, protect the company’s brand image, provide excellent customer service, and retain all accounts.
- Seek quotations from multiple insurers based on the risk exposure of prospective clients under the company’s established procedure for getting quotes.
- Contribute to the development of successful departmental strategies for meeting targets.
- Collect insurance premiums before policies are initiated, executed, or renewed.
- Coordinate with all other departments to ensure no claims go unattended.
- Ensure weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports are submitted to supervisors as required.
Qualifications and Required Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, insurance, marketing, or a similar subject.
- A Diploma in Insurance or Chartered Insurance Professional designation would be advantageous.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a business development function.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of insurance law and underwriting methods.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of customer service.
MANAGERIAL COMPETENCIES
- Capability to organize, coordinate, and monitor actions.
- Capability to find and assess various solutions to challenges.
- Ability to make prompt decisions.
- Ability to set objectives, targets, and goals.
