POSITION: Chief Financial Control (CFO)

Job Description.

  • Coordinated financial planning with business strategy, including multi-year budgets, trend analysis, and scenario modelling.
  • Lead the finance team and ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulations.
  • Manage annual budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to identify revenue patterns.
  • Manage and supervise the company’s management accounts and financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Deliver reports on time to internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing external audits to ensure financial statements align with IFRS and regulatory standards, delivering timely reports, improving financial infrastructure and department resources for stability and future growth, and meeting all statutory requirements, including tax compliance.
  • Provide accurate financial reporting and analysis to the board and executive team to support efficient financial management.
  • Coordinate with group treasury to improve the company’s liquidity and capital structure.
  • Oversee cash management, banking, and lender relationships.
  • Implement new bank technologies and simplify operations.
  • Manage intercompany cash, including lending, dividends, and capital injections. Manage the company’s currency exposure.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 7 years of managerial experience in finance, banking, or accounting
  • Advanced degree in accounting, business, finance, or similar field
  • Expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and trend tracking, including an understanding of IFRS standards.
  • Expertise in financial budgeting and forecasting
  • Thorough understanding of finance and accounting principles, external auditing, international tax laws, and best practices in international accounting, management consulting, or multinational firms is preferred. Banking or microfinance experience is advantageous, as is treasury and currency risk management knowledge.
  • Board reporting and program management experience
  • Strong leadership and change management skills
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, multicultural, multidisciplinary team and deliver high-quality work on time to fulfil objectives.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English, as well as strong Excel and finance/accounting software skills.
