POSITION: Software Technical Writer

Who You Are
In this position, you will be tasked with creating instruction manuals and articles aimed at simplifying complex technical information for better communication. You will create, collect, and share technical information with customers, designers, and manufacturers.
You need to possess a talent for creating documentation that is both high-quality and easily comprehensible for our internal teams as well as our customers.
We are looking for a technical writer to lead our documentation initiatives in partnership with internal engineering teams and our broader open-source developer community. In this position, you will actively engage with Akkadian products while developing new documentation and enhancing the current content.
What You Will Accomplish:
- Take the initiative to engage and work together with product designers and developers to grasp product specifics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to collect details for documentation.
- Produce superior documentation that complies with standards, is suitable, and user-friendly.
- Create creative concepts for content and process solutions, while functioning both autonomously and as a team member.
- Conduct research, compose, and generate a substantial amount of client-oriented documentation for a continually changing product.
- Collaborate with our engineering teams during the application development life cycle to produce public user documentation.
- Create and circulate guides to assist end-users in utilizing different applications.
- Gather and analyse usability insights from customers, designers, and producers.
- Examine source code for both community and internally created systems to gather technical information for documentation.
- Develop internal documentation and training resources to encourage the development of our software community.
- Handle a large number of projects and priorities autonomously while working closely with various stakeholders.
- Develop and uphold the structure of information.
- Examine and oversee current and possible content on the app as required.

Specifications
- 4 years of experience in a Technical Writing position or a comparable role.
- 2 years of experience in creating software documentation through technical writing
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Capability to convert complex technical details into easily comprehensible information for clients.
- Innovative abilities and the application of images, illustrations, graphs, animations, and tables that enhance users’ comprehension.
- Capability to create documents when templates and other structures are not accessible.
- Types of documents to incorporate; Process Controls, Training Guides, Stakeholder Reports, etc.
- A background in engineering or computer science is preferred.
- Skills in critical thinking and problem-solving
