POSITION: Head Pastry Chef
About the Role
We are looking for a competent and dedicated Head Pastry Chef to oversee our dessert staff at Accra City Hotel, a famous four-star hotel. As the leader of our pastry area, you will be in charge of developing and implementing new, high-quality sweets and pastries to please our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the pastry kitchen’s daily operations, such as production, quality control, and staff management.
- Creating and implementing new dessert menus that are consistent with the hotel’s culinary strategy and seasonal trends.
- Training and coaching pastry team members to ensure they maintain the highest levels of excellence.
- Managing inventories and ordering supplies to ensure smooth operations and cost savings.
- Working with various portions of the kitchen and departments to give excellent guest service.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and health codes.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Head Pastry Chef or similar capacity in a luxury hotel or restaurant.
- Demonstrated ability to develop unique and visually appealing desserts.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, including the ability to encourage and inspire a team.
- Superior communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A passion for pastry and a dedication to providing great quality.
