A five-year-old girl, Maame Mary, has died after a building collapsed on her at Asuofua Asamang in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti region.
The incident occurred on Sunday, October 31, 2021.
The mother of the deceased, Madam Adwoa Pokua told Class News’ Elisha Adarkwah that the daughter had taken money from her to buy porridge outside in the company of her colleagues.
She said the building, which was under renovation collapsed on the kindergarten one pupil whilst on her way.
The mother who could not control her tears said, Mary died on the spot but the other colleagues escaped unhurt.
The body has been conveyed by the police and deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
The police at Asuofua police station has commenced investigations into the incident.
