Job Description
- JOB TITLE: PROJECT OFFICER
- REPORTING: PROGRAMME OFFICER
- ASSOCIATES: PROJECT OFFICERS AND FIELD OFFICERS
Job Purpose
Ensure maximum planning, coordination and monitoring of Community Led Monitoring Project (CLMP) of HIV-AIDS in 7 districts in the Western Ghana
Roles and Responsibilities.
- Firstly, To serve as the representative of SEND GHANA in the 7 districts
- Secondly, To coordinate planning and lead in the implementation of project activities with the District Focal NGOs (DFNGOs)s and target groups
- Thirdly, To ensure that project activities are properly coordinated with District Health Management Team (DHMT) and other district stakeholders
- Moreover, To plan and lead all CLM activities using SEND’s Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E) approach
- Additionally, To plan and led target groups in the execution of advocacy activities at the district, regional and national
- Furthermore, To write articles for publication in SEND’S newsletter (Citizen’s Watch)
- More so, To support the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer in the discharge of his/her duties specially to collect most significant change stories
- Then, To ensure that project activities are properly networking with other organisations working on HIV/AIDs in USAID funded projects in the district and regions
- Also, To be responsible for managing the FNGOs/ sub-awardee and ensure that they adhere to the MOU
- Thereafter, To ensure proper financial management and other resources of the project
- Besides that, To undertake capacity building of the organisations and leadership of the target groups
- Most importantly, Responsible for the preparation of narrative quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports
- Afterwards, To responsible for executing SEND GHANA downward accountability activity in all project district
- Last but not least, To participate in planning and, management review meetings with other staff of GELAP
- Finally, Any other assignments as may be deemed necessary
Required Skills or Experience
Education
- Master ‘Degree in Public Health. Social Sciences and Humanities
- No less than 5 years’ experience and project experience supporting People Living with
- HIV and AIDs will be a major consideration
