VACANCY: PRINCIPAL DIETICIAN II
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above position in the Ministry of Health, Department of Health Service Management, tenable at various facilities
- VACANCY NO: 27 of 2022
- SALARY: 66, 140.00-1291,640.00 per annum
BENEFITS:
- Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50s, Employee pays)
- A contract of 34-36 months with gratuity of 30% payable at the end of contract.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of Bachelor Science in Dietetics and Nutrition
- At least two (2) year’s work experience as Senior Dietician.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To coordinate Dietetic programme and provide coverage to speciality Dietetic Services

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Firstly, Provides medical nutrition therapy to patients with complex conditions
- Secondly, Provides utreach Dietetic services
- Thirdly, Monitors response to nutrition disease specific treatments
- Moreover, Participates in the formulating of mutrition policies and programme.
- Additionally, Develop hospital diet reference manual
- Then, Monitors availability and functionality of Dietetic equipment within a functional area.
- Also, Collects disease specific patient statistics
- Moreover, Coordinates Dietetic internship programme.
- Additionally, Coordinates medical nutritional product review, update and procurement.
- Then, Conducts nutrition research
- Finally, Conducts in-service training for health
