POSITION: Pharmacy Technician

Duties & Obligations
- Execute designated technical tasks as specified for the section or unit where the post-holder is employed, adhering to established standards and policies.
- Help the pharmacist in preparing medication prescriptions for both in-patient and out-patient services.
- Prepare and combine pharmaceutical materials as needed to sustain inventory levels.
- Make sure that spontaneous preparations meet the required standards.
- Support the execution of all elements of storage, record maintenance, inventory management, and rotation in the wards and pharmacy areas.
- Conduct and record inspections of locations where medications are distributed, kept, and given; recognize and collect expired drugs and supplies, and log entries of hazardous medicines according to hospital guidelines.
- Verify that auditors and monitoring personnel confirm the rechecking of medications/items received.
- Assume temporary responsibility for pharmaceutical services when the pharmacist is unavailable, ensuring the job holder restricts themselves to their level of expertise only.
Necessary Skills or Experience
- Outstanding abilities in both written and spoken communication.
- Skills in computing.
- Skills in solving problems.
- Strong social skills
