POSITION: Metallurgist

Position Summary

This position is a full-time, on-site Metallurgist role situated in Akyem Takyiman, Eastern Region. The Metallurgist will oversee process control, metallurgy, extractive metallurgy, failure analysis, and leaching during the daily operations of alluvial mining and production activities.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Examine the characteristics and efficiency of metals and alloys.
• Create and evaluate new metallic substances and alloys.
• Perform failure analysis on metallic parts.
• Verify that metals comply with industry and safety regulations.
• Work alongside production teams to enhance metal fabrication techniques.
• Employ different testing approaches, such as microscopic, chemical, and physical methods
• Offer assistance and guidance regarding metallurgical challenges.
• Investigate and apply innovative technologies for the processing of metals.
• Compile comprehensive reports and documentation of discoveries and suggestions.
• Observe the ecological effects of metallurgical methods.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards in metallurgical laboratories.

Requirements

• Skills in Metallurgy and Process Control
• Expertise in Extractive Metallurgy and Failure Investigation
• Understanding of extensive alluvial mining procedures
• Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Outstanding skills in communication and collaboration.
• Undergraduate degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a related discipline
• Thorough knowledge of metal characteristics and actions.
• Familiarity with metallurgical examination and assessment.
• Understanding of metal production methods.
• Capacity to perform thorough research and examination.
• Keen focus on precision and thoroughness.
• Capacity to oversee several projects at once.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in laboratory settings.
